Convention Session Explores Caseloads, Paperwork, and Advocacy

Kenneth Warlick, director of the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), joined hundreds of school-based clinicians for the 2000 Schools Forum held Nov. 16 at the ASHA Convention. The three-hour forum provided speech-language pathologists (SLPs) and audiologists the opportunity to hear about key schools issues straight from Warlick, Association leadership, staff, and each other. Hot topics included caseloads, paperwork, and advocacy.
