ASHA joined the Coalition for Citizens with Disabilities in sending a letter to the House Education and Workforce Committee, urging members to support the extension of Assistive Technology Act (ATA) programs. Unless Congress enacts an ATA amendment by Sept. 30, state programs will gradually be phased out.
The first states to lose funding will be Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Utah. The process will continue until all programs are ...
