CDC awards grants for EHDI tracking systems.(Centers for Disease Control; early hearing detection and intervention testing)(Brief Article)

Infants with hearing loss will now have a stronger link to intervention services, thanks to additional grants recently awarded to 13 states and one U.S. territory by the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The grants, which are the result of the Walsh provision in the 1999 Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, were awarded to Alaska, Arizona, Delaware, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and the Virgin Islands. ...
