The ASHA National Office on Rockville Pike in Montgomery County, MD, where the administrative center of the Association has resided since 1981, will move in 2007 to larger quarters nearby. The ASHA Financial Planning Board (FPB) and Executive Board (EB) view the move as one of fiscal integrity that will allow more efficient conduct of the Association's operations and provision of services to members.
When the National Office moved to its present headquarters in 1981, Association membership stood at 36,000 with a member-to-staff ratio of 404:1. The building was expanded in 1990, ...
