In the first step of what could be a lengthy battle to challenge the Medicare therapy caps, on Feb. 17 Sen. John Ensign (R-NV) and Rep. Phil English (R-PA) introduced bills in the U.S. Senate (S. 438) and the House of Representatives (H.R. 916) to permanently repeal the caps on outpatient services, including speech-language pathology services.
