It will be a cultural shift for Danielle N. Ripich when she assumes the presidency of the University of New England (UNE) in Maine this July. She is currently the dean of the College of Health Professions, Medical University of South Carolina, where she also is a professor in the University's College of Medicine, Department of Neurology.
Ripich will leave teaching in speech-language pathology as well as a region of the country. However, her background has uniquely prepared her for the UNE presidency.
