Viewed historically, audiologic/aural rehabilitation (AR) comprises a rather vague set of paradigms that encompass a wide range of restorative services to people with hearing loss. By definition, paradigms are axiomatic systems characterized by assumptions that emerge out of the entity or system for which they are designed.
