3D SYSTEMS Corporation has announced developments in materials and software for its laser sintering systems.
DuraForm EX Plastic that was introduced last year in white will also be available in black early this year. DuraForm EX offers the toughness of injection moulded polypropylene or ABS and is suitable for rapid manufacturing. The black option offers greater design scope while eliminating secondary operations needed to dye or paint the part.
Black-coloured DuraForm EX Plastic retains its toughness at temperatures as low as -54 degC, a critical requirement for many aerospace and automotive applications. The material is suitable for use with all Sinterstation Pro and Sinterstation HiQ series selective laser sintering systems. Further materials...
