The Credit and Financial Development Division is an educational division of NACM devoted to the advancement of credit professionals.
Some might be surprised to learn that CFDD will celebrate its 75th anniversary in the year 2000. The birth of CFDD came about for a familiar reason - necessity. There was a clear need for some way to unite and support female credit executives.
In 1923, female credit executives met at the Annual Credit Congress of the National Association of Credit Men, but they met on their own, not as part of the Congress. It was not until 1925, at the Credit Congress in Washington, D.C., that NACM officially recognized the activities of the credit women's groups.
