TROY, Mich.--Kmart is restructuring its home furnishing divisions, placing categories previously handled by the hard lines organization under the soft lines group, according to sources close to the company.
The categories affected include ready-to-assemble furniture lamps and frames, as well as decorative accessories.
Bill Parker, who has been in change of the tabletop and glassware business, will become soft lines division vice president.
Sharlene Roberts also is expected to take on new responsibilities in the soft lines division Roberts joined Kmart six months ago. Previously, she was with Cargo Express.
Buyers for ready-to-assemble furniture, lamps, frames and decorative accessories are expected to remain in their positions. ...
