WASHINGTON--The Department of Energy has made an $800,000 contribution here to the Consortium for Energy Efficiency to promote the use of energy-efficient technologies.

CEE is the organization that developed the Super Efficient Refrigerator Program. The non-profit consortium attempts to speed products from development to market by promoting the market interest in the technologies through DOE's Golden Carrot program.
