WASHINGTON--The Department of Energy has made an $800,000 contribution here to the Consortium for Energy Efficiency to promote the use of energy-efficient technologies.
CEE is the organization that developed the Super Efficient Refrigerator Program. The non-profit consortium attempts to speed products from development to market by promoting the market interest in the technologies through DOE's Golden Carrot program.
According to Christine Ervin, the department's assistant secretary for energy efficiency and renewable energy, "CEE's work to accelerate penetration of new technologies relies on a proven approach.
