TORRANCE, Cal.--Epson America is bringing to market a diminutive desktop PC scanner it says will be accurate and easy to use.
The ultra-small footprint scanner, the Epson Personal Document Station, measures 2.6 inches high by 12.3 inches long and 9.2 inches wide.
The 8-bit gray-scale scanner with 300 dpi resolution is aimed at home office workers who "require the most efficient communications and organization solution," says Jim Sutton, product manager of scanners at Epson.
The four-page-per-minute unit will be available May 15 at a suggested retail of $499. It comes with a one-year warranty that the customer can extend to two years by completing product registration and warranty card, the company said.
