Crown to make throws for Disney. (Crown Crafts licensing agreement to use images of Disney characters)(Brief Article)

ATLANTA--Crown Crafts has signed a licensing agreement with the Walt Disney Co. to manufacture jacquard woven throws with Disney characters Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Pluto and Goofy.
The license permits Crown, based here, to distribute the throws to the gift trade through its Goodwin Weavers division. The license extends to December 1997.
"Disney has recognized Crown Crafts's ability to meet Disney's standards for quality and service," said Michael Bernstein, president of Crown Crafts.
"This agreement is a direct result of our efforts to expand our licensing activity, which holds significant growth opportunities for the company."
