Microsoft Corp still plans to launch its Windows 95 operating software for retail on Aug 24, 1995, despite a speculated delay in giving personal computer manufacturers' access to the Windows 95 code. Many computer manufacturers are counting on the new system to improve sales, as many consumers are poised to purchase hardware and software that is compatible with the new operating system following its release.

New York - Microsoft Corp. has promised that despite rumblings that Windows 95 may be late in getting to personal computer makers, the eagerly awaited operating system will be on retail shelves on Aug. 24 as promised.
