FORT WORTH--Computer City plans to open eight new SuperCenters during August and September, bringing to 86 the total store count worldwide.

The retailer will open its first stores in Milwaukee and San Antonio, plus fourth SuperCenters in the Boston and Seattle markets, and second SuperCenters in San Diego, Vancouver, San Francisco and New York metropolitan area.

"Of particular importance is the strengthening of our market position in six additional major markets. The backfilling of existing Computer City markets is a vital part of our business model and should provide us with increased economies of scale," said president Alan Bush.
