APC, Nokia in $10M pact for wireless handsets. (American Personal Communications)

American Personal Communications Inc has signed a contract with Nokia Mobile Phones to market the first Personal Communications Service system in the US by Dec 31, 1995. The contract, which is worth $10 million, will cover the Washington, DC; Virginia and Maryland area. The Nokia handset used will be the digital model 2191. Nokia handsets have an enormous amount of features, many of which are not available on currently used wireless communication systems.
