ALTAVISTA, Va. - The Lane Co. and The Walt Disney Corp. have entered into a licensing agreement for the marketing of Mickey & Co. brand characters as graphics, motifs, fabric applications and for other uses on furniture products.
Sean Slack, vice president of cedar chest merchandising for Lane, says the agreement is for the standard characters - Disney's original Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Daisy, Goffy and Pluto.
Slack says the company will introduce 15 to 20 SKUs, primarily case pieces such as cedar chests and accent pieces, at the upcoming October International Home Furnishing Market in High Point, N.C.
