ATLANTA - Pat Farrah resigned last week as chairman of his lighting fixture company, M.G. Products, to return to The Home Depot, which he helped to found.

According to The Home Depot, Farrah will work in merchandising and will report to the executive vice president for merchandising, Bill Hamlin. Farrah will be working on "furthering Home Depot's creative entrepreneurial atmosphere," according to a statement released by the home improvement retailer.

A spokesman said Farrah will be based in Atlanta but refused to comment further on Farrah's duties or title.
