Ryobi sets infomercial: steps up marketing for Singer brand. (Ryobi Motor Products signs with production company HSN Direct)(Housewares Network)

Ryobi Motor Products has signed an infomercial production and distribution deal with HSN Direct. The infomercial will feature Ryobi's new Singer WipeOut, a battery-powered cordless deep cleaner and smooth-surface washer that the company is scheduled to launch in Dec 1995. The HSN agreement is part of a larger advertising and promotional push adopted by Ryobi to re-energize its product lines. Ryobi's new president and COO, James Bazet, is responsible for the marketing push and also for a corporate restructuring and a new focus on product development.
