CLEVELAND--Consumers who purchase new PC systems at OfficeMax this fall will be able to take part in the office superstore chain's new technical support and installation programs.

The new programs, InstallMax and MaxAssurance, are the products of a partnering agreement between OfficeMax and Xerox Corporation. The InstallMax Plan, which promises consumers on-site installation and hardware upgrade packages, is designed as a complement to the MaxAssurance plan, an upgrade from the stores' basic service program. The MaxAssurance Plan offers consumers three-year on-site service for buyers of PCs, monitors, printers and peripherals, versus the basic program's 90-day support service.
