REDWWOD CITY, Cal. - Sega of America said it is forming a new "one-stop shopping" distribution company with Softbank Corp. of Tokyo, Japan's largest software distributor and owners of Softbank Comdex.
The company, which will be located in Hayward, Cal. and incorporated Nov. 1, 1995, will distribute PC software and hardware in the U.S. Headed by acting president Bud Werner, who is taking the position in addition to his responsibilities as group vice president for operations and distribution at Sega of America, the company will help the videogame and PC software industries reduce distribution costs, according to Sega.
