NEW YORK - Vachel Pennebaker, president and chief executive of Sears Shop at Home Services Inc., will discuss "Emerging Technologies and The Consumer Marketplace" in his keynote address at the Direct Marketing Day in New York annual marketing conference April 24.

Pennebacker is a 20-year-veteran of direct marketing and architect of Sears' expansion into the field. In 1994, he was named Direct Marketer of the Year by the Chicago Association of Direct Marketing.

The marketing conference, to be held April 22 through 24 at the New York Hilton, will feature 125 speakers at 55 concurrent sessions.
