DANBURY, Conn.--Ethan Allen Interiors Inc. expects its earnings for the first quarter ended Sept. 30, 1996. to be higher than analysts' expectations and significantly greater than the prior year's first quarter.
The company expects net income of between $7.5 million to $8.0 million, or net income per common share of 52 cents to 55 cents for the quarter. Ethan Allen reported net income of $4.5 million or 31 cents per common share for the year-ago quarter.
