CHATSWORTH, Cal. -- Sanyo Fisher Co. said it is restructuring its sales organization to be more efficient in dealing with consumer electronics and major appliance retailers in the U.S.

The company said it expects about 25 positions will be eliminated but said no decisions have been made about new assignments.

Sanyo Fisher will transform a three-region sales organization into one unified national sales team, with a national accounts group that deals directly with national retailers and a regional accounts group to deal with regional and independent dealers.
