Compaq Computer Corp. and Thomson Consumer Electronics plan to ship their PC Theatre in mid-May 1997 with an estimated retail price of $4,999. The product combines a television and a computer and includes three input devices: a universal remote control, a game controller and a wireless keyboard. Six markets will carry the product, including San Francisco/San Jose, CA, and Seattle, WA.
NEW YORK -- A PC/TV product called PC Theatre, co-developed by Compaq Computer Corp. and Thomson Consumer Electronics, is expected to begin shipping in mid-May with limited retail distribution.
