Retailers whose computers run on the Windows NT operating system from Microsoft, Redmond, Wash., can expect to see a wider diversity of applications made available for that computing platform.
Late last week the software company reported it had formed the Application Developers Customer Unit, which will step up technical support for independent software companies developing applications for Windows NT. Charles Stevens, who was vice president of Microsoft Far East, will head the new division.
