The issue of bunk-bed safety is back in the headlines again.
Late last week HFN learned that five manufacturers and importers of bunk beds, working in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), have begun voluntarily recalling approximately 16,500 of their products.
The beds in question, from Heartland Furniture Mfg., Temple Pine Furniture, Rosalco Inc., Springhill Woodcrafters and Kidron Woodcraft, have openings on the top bunk that present a potential hazard to young children.
