Sears, Roebuck and Co. category killer The Great Indoors will focus on diversity as its main marketing strategy. The Great Indoors provides a greater selection of merchandise and brands that are not carried by Sears department stores. The store signed on more than 260 vendors to provide its assortment. The depth of selection will also facilitate add on sales.
Lone Tree, Colo.-Sears is positioning its new The Great Indoors store as a full-line home products category killer.
In home textiles, this means having "the best selection among retailers; offering a broad selection in bedroom and bath," the company declared.
Said Kassie Jones, director of soft home, "We compete with the depth of assortment and the way we present it."
