Tabletop sets up shop at The Great Indoors.(Sears, Roebuck and Co.)

The Great Indoors, a home furnishings superstore owned by Sears, Roebuck and Co., features a tabletop merchandise department placed between the home decor and housewares departments. It is the first Sears venture to offer the category. Sales for Sears' in-store tabletop categories has been relatively flat since 1995.

Lone Tree, Colo.-For once, the number of tabletop retailers is growing, not shrinking.

The category, which has experienced flat sales for the past three years, has been given a home in Sears Roebuck & Co.'s new superstore, The Great Indoors.
