HIGH POINT, N.C.--LifeStyle Furnishings International (LFI) and Simmons Co. have reported significant financial commitments in support of the Women in the Home Industries Today (WithIt) professional organization.
The announcements were made during six-month-old WithIt's first national gathering here April 25. Home furnishings manufacturer LifeStyle will contribute a $20,000 scholarship and bedding manufacturer Simmons will underwrite a significant portion of WithIt's inaugural conference, which will be held later this year.
The LifeStyle scholarship is designed to assist a student pursuing a degree in home furnishings. It will be awarded over a four-year period in four consecutive $5,000 grants, according to LifeStyle's executive vice president, Alan D....
