WEST CHESTER, Pa.-Armed with an assemblage of former Macy's buyers, QVC is looking to make itself a destination for the kitchenware category.

Macy's alum Bill O'Donnell, QVC's vice president of merchandising, home fashions, has placed a premium on making QVC, which boasts $2.4 billion in annual sales and reaches 70 million homes, "a kitchenware headquarters." Toward this goal, the retailer is steadily establishing a breadth of branded assortments while it builds upon Cook's Essentials, its private-label cookware line, to include small electrics.
