NEW YORK-Michael C. Fina's interactive Web site, which debuted last month, is designed to combine the elegance of the retailer's Fifth Avenue store with the convenience its customers demand.
Already, the Web site has performed "beautifully," according to Michael A. Fina, whose family has run the tabletop store and its catalog from here since 1935. Fina's goal is to build his e-commerce business on the strength of his brick-and-mortar and catalog experience and introduce consumers nationwide to the Michael C. Fina name.
"We have systems in place that we know work beautifully. We don't want to reinvent the wheel but capitalize on what we have created," Fina said.
