NEW YORK-USA Networks Inc. has acquired the assets of Ingenious Designs Inc. (IDI), manufacturer of direct response products like the Miracle Mop and the Rolykit storage organizer.
Joy Mangano, chairwoman and president of IDI, has made frequent appearances on QVC in the past. USA Network is the parent company of the Home Shopping Network (HSN).
"We are thrilled to have Joy Mangano become part of our family," said Mark Bozek, president and chief executive officer of HSN. "She is a terrific talent and having her here is obviously a huge advantage for us and the other USA companies. With increased resources, IDI will function as a product development lab."
