ANN ARBOR, Mich.-Consumers are seeing red.
That's the conclusion of the National Sanitary Foundation International following a storage-container quality study, the first in a series, that it recently completed.
The NSF, an independent public health safety consulting firm, was hired by Pyrex to compare Pyrex glass storage containers with similar plastic products made by other companies.
The test showed that, while plastic storage containers can be stained by the foods frequently stored in American homes, none of the nearly 300 Pyrex Storage Deluxe containers tested were stained, even after repeated exposures.
