MANCHESTER, Mass.-Nearly every American baby boomer has memories of sitting around the kitchen pasting Green Stamps into booklets and poring over the catalog to choose their prizes.
Now, the 104-year-old company is back with an online version of its popular redemption program at www.greenpoints.com.
But the territory has changed since S&H Green Stamps' heyday in 1964, when the company printed three times as many stamps as the U.S. Postal Service and the S&H catalog was the largest single publication in the country.
For one thing, the company has some competition. In the '60s, airline frequent flyer programs didn't exist, and there was no such thing as credit cards that offered rewards or cash-back bonuses. And the Web is no stranger to...
