Bride's Invests in WeddingChannel.com
Online wedding planner WeddingChannel.com and Bride's magazine have formed a strategic alliance that includes an $18 million investment by Advance Publications, the parent company of Conde Nast magazines, which publishes Bride's, and plans for joint marketing programs. Steve Newhouse, chairman of Advance.Net, the Internet division of Advance Publications, joins WeddingChannel.com's board.
Under the agreement, WeddingChannel.com becomes the official online wedding site for Bride's magazine, and Bride's becomes the official bridal magazine of WeddingChannel.com. The two will pursue mutually beneficial advertising, promotions and other joint marketing programs, according to a statement from Bride's.
