GE EXECUTIVE LEAVES FOR INTERNET FIRM.

LOUISVILLE, Ky.-GE Appliances' general manager for cooking, Linda Goodspeed, has resigned from the company to become the president of the Internet company PartMiner.
Goodspeed handled operations, product development, manufacturing, procurement and marketing for the product category. She is succeeded by Len Kosar, who served with GE most recently as general manager of Six Sigma and in marketing capacities as well.
PartMiner is an online provider of content, technology and procurement services.
Goodspeed said her departure from GE was not caused by any perceived problems at the unit, but rather an opportunity to move into "a more creative growth environment."
