I SHOP NEW YORK.
HFN: The Weekly Newspaper for the Home Furnishing Network, March, 2001
west village | bohemian
With its criss-crossing streets, some of which are still paved in brick and cobblestone, the West Village still has a flavor of old New York that is lost in many other neighborhoods. You'll find lots of antiques here, nestled in tiny, packed-to-the-ceiling stores. The neighborhood is filled with surprises, so allow yourself the luxury of getting a little bit lost. In fact, getting lost is the surest way of finding what you're looking for in this part of town. For the time-impaired: Go west, young shopper! The urban explorer should check out the stores in the Meat Packing District, west of Hudson Street, from Horatio Street north to 14th Street.
