HOME DEPOT NAMES DONOVAN HUMAN RESOURCES CHIEF.

ATLANTA-Home Depot has appointed Dennis M. Donovan executive vice president of human resources. Donovan will report to Bob Nardelli, president and chief executive officer, and will be responsible for all human resources functions in the company's stores and store support centers.
Donovan succeeds Steve Messana. Home Depot refused to comment on when or why Messana left the company.
Donovan joins Home Depot effective April 2 from Raytheon Co., where he was senior vice president of human resources since 1998. He brings to Home Depot more than 28 years of human resources experience and is widely known in his field for creating human resource processes and initiatives to support company strategies, generate sales and accelerate change.
