NEW YORK-The Terence Conran Shop has added appliances to its mix of modern furniture and decorative accessories.

The store, which opened a little more than a year and a half ago, introduced the Viking Range Corp.'s Designer Series in May. On display are the five basic pieces that comprise the collection: a cooktop, oven, ventilation hood, dishwasher and refrigerator.

Created for residential kitchens, the Designer Series represents Viking's first departure from its professional kitchen appliances. The line also includes items such as a micro-chamber to house a microwave and warming drawers for a total of 17 components in all. All products are available in a choice of six finishes.
