CHICAGO-Home Depot's aggressive energy-savings campaign is paying off, said Robert Nardelli, chief executive officer, at the National Hardware Show here last month.
With increased national and local advertising, in-store banners, displays, demonstrations and other marketing tools, Home Depot is realizing sales spikes in energy-efficient products, he said.
"We think the whole energy conservation concept is a huge opportunity for us. We are quickly becoming the store of choice for energy conservation," Nardelli told HFN after his keynote address to a standing-room-only crowd.
