NEW YORK-The strength of the dollar in the world market is contributing to low export tallies for the United States, as are high foreign tariffs and low-cost overseas manufacturing. The tariffs are said to be due for a decline, but overall, the U.S. housewares market is the most powerful of all and import totals are destined to remain well above their outgoing cousins.
Many said it's the United States' market appeal that makes importing the bigger end of the stick.
