WAL-MART SITE LEADS IN UNIQUE ONLINE VISITORS.(Brief Article)

NEW YORK-Wal-Mart's Web site held on to its lead over the sites of its home furnishings rivals in November, luring far more unique visitors than Best Buy, Target, J.C. Penney and others.
According to a monthly poll of some 65,000 Web users, more than 11.8 million surfers clicked onto Walmart.com either from their homes, offices or universities. That compares with 7.7 million for runner-up Bestbuy.com and 7 million for Target.com.
Unique visitors are counted only once, regardless of the location from which they visit.
According to comScore Media Metrix, which tracks the site traffic, the bulk of the visits are made from home computers.
On average, a visitor spent 8.3 minutes at the Wal-Mart site in November, longer than the other...
