SPRINGFIELD, Va.-Robert Verdisco, former president of the International Mass Retail Association, died April 30 of complications due to cancer. He was 60 years old.

Verdisco led IMRA from 1990 until December 2002. During his tenure, he worked to build relationships between retailers and vendors. Before serving as president of IMRA, Verdisco worked with the association as vice president of government relations.

Verdisco was a member of the Washington, D.C., bar and held positions as executive assistant and attorney adviser to two chairmen of the Consumer Product Safety Commission; as an antitrust trial attorney in the Office of the Executive Legal Director at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission; and as a trial attorney in the Bureau of Competition at the...
