NEW ORLEANS-Jazz, cajun and creole food, and other temptations of the Big Easy added flavor to the business issues at hand as 500 executives met for the American Lighting Association's annual conference at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside here.

The attendees were given an in-depth look at the economy by keynote speaker Martin Regalia, chief economist for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Regalia sees "signs of stronger growth ahead," contingent on a number of factors, most importantly consumer spending.
