LOS ANGELES-Where wide-open landscapes and crystalline light collide with brilliant architecture and new design -- that is the territory of Western Interiors, a new magazine that debuted on newsstands last month.
Western Interiors founder Carol Decker and publisher Debra Brandt are hoping to mine a national audience and a broad base of advertisers with the privately funded bimonthly book.
"We're the only magazine totally devoted to the Western region," said Brandt. "Not only is the West the most exciting area in terms of design right now, it also ranks first for consumer spending on home furnishings, percentage of households with a net worth of $500,000 or more and homes valued at $500,000 or more."
