EPSON ENTERS THE LCD TV SEGMENT, BROADENS ITS PROJECTOR OFFERINGS.(liquid crystal display)(Brief Article)

LAS VEGAS-Looking to gain ground in the home entertainment market, Epson introduced two LCD TVs at the International Consumer Electronics Show here. The company, well known for its printers and LCD projectors, also showcased several LCD projectors designed for home theater enthusiasts.

The Livingstation LS47P1 (47-inch) and LS57P1 (57-inch) are LCD projection TVs that feature a built-in photo printer.

The idea is for consumers to view, print and store images without the use of a PC. Users navigate an operating menu with a remote control, which "is intuitive and simple to use," said a spokesman.

The TVs have a trapezoid shape, designed so consumers can place them into corners. They also measure about 16 inches deep.
