DALTON, Ga.-The Carpet America Recovery Effort will hold its second annual conference at the Hilton Gardens in Pensacola Beach, Fla., April 29 to 30.
Environmentalist, educator and best-selling author Paul Hawken will be the featured speaker at the dinner on Thursday, April 29. Hawken is known globally as an architect and proponent of corporate reform with respect to ecological practices. His books have been published in more than 50 countries in 27 languages. Hawken's "Growing a Business" (Simon & Schuster, 1987) became the basis of a 17-part PBS series he hosted and produced.
