NEW YORK-Fashion bedding is a category that is never short of new names or ideas on how to freshen existing brands.
Coming in time for the October textiles market is Caribbean Joe, a crossover from apparel that Dan River is manufacturing. The line, which will be made available to department and specialty stores in spring 2005, is taking off from the tropical look that is well represented in apparel.
"Caribbean Joe is tropical in its approach and very much reflects the island feeling," said Daniel Hammer, executive vice president of Dan River.
