SAN FRANCISCO-Will customers for high-end, custom furniture shop from a catalog?
Williams-Sonoma Home, the new upscale home furnishings catalog from Williams-Sonoma that slipped into mailboxes last week, is betting its paisley that they will. The 80-page catalog, which launched with a 3 million-copy drop, emphasizes custom upholstery and pledges to deliver its 20 sofas, chairs and ottomans, which are available in 64 fabrics, in 45 days. Besides furniture, the catalog offers textiles, lighting, accessories and tabletop items.
